Research Schematics and Fixtures

BU NEFT Lab
Project Overview
I joined Boston University's Nanoscale Energy-Fluids Transport Lab during my Junior year at BU. The projects I worked on were focused on learning more about using nanopores (~100nm) to electrokinetically trap similarly sized (100-1000nm) nanoparticles and small bio-molecules.
My Contributions
I wore many hats which is typical for a researcher. I designed and ran experiments, analyzed experiment data, fabricated silicon chips from wafers in a clean room setting, and used SEM/FIB to analyze and alter chips. I leveraged my previous engineering experience to CAD and machine new chip holders for my research lab. I also used my CAD skills to create schematics for research proposals.
